Seattle News; Police Killer’s Sister Taken Into Custody

In criminal news out of Washington state, a story appeared in the Seattle Times Local News today, December 8, 2009, written by Steve Miletech, a Seattle Times Staff Reporter, titled: Clemmons’ sister helped alleged driver ‘lay low,’ court papers say. According to the Times, on Friday afternoon, during the arraignment of two women who are alleged to have helped Maurice Clemmons following the shooting of four Lakewood, Washington Police officers, LaTanya Clemmons, age 34, was taken into custody. Police booked LaTanya Clemmons into jail Friday evening. LaTanya Clemmons, also allegedly planned to buy a bus ticket to Arkansas for Darcus D. Allen, 38. Allen was arrested at a Federal Way motel last week and booked into the Pierce County Jail. He is under investigation to determine his role in the killings. As an aside if you are in need of a top Washington criminal attorney I do suggest this resource. Very highly qualified criminal attorney indeed for the great state of Washington.LaTanya Clemmons was ordered by County Superior Court Judge Lisa Worswick to be held on $1.5 million bail Monday based on allegations she tampered with a witness and rendered criminal assistance following the murders.

Worswick gave prosecutors until 1:30 p.m. Wednesday to determine whether to formally charge LaTanya Clemmons.
